The Blue Book is the best resource for learning how to write a note form summary and how to describe the effect that persuasive language might have on a reader or listener. All pages of the Blue Book are required reading.
The Green Book is also a valuable resource, particularly for the list of techniques and the possible effect on the audience. Chapters 13, 14, 15 and 18 are the chapters that you should read.
Your teacher will give you additional texts for you to practise both note form summaries and language analyses.
