 The Scenario:

You have come into some money and have decided that you would like to build a house for yourself to live in. You have found a new estate that is being developed and have purchased a block of land that you will build on. You have decided to give yourself a budget of $345,000 to build your house.

Your Task

You and your partner are to complete each part of the project in a OneNote document. This document should be shared with both your partner and your teacher. This is so that you and your partner can work on the same document at the same time and your teacher can review your work. Make sure you give this document an easy to remember name such as "HouseProject [yourname and partner's name]".

Your teacher will tell you how much time you have to complete each part of the project and you should be wary of your time management. Working in a pair will give you the ability to multitask and manage that time more effectively. If you complete a part of the project early you should double check everything is done before moving on to the next part. If you are unsure, ask your teacher for help.

Each part of the project may give you information that you need to take into account in order to complete it properly. Read the instructions and information carefully!

When you are making decisions about what to include or not to include in your house you should say what choice you made in your document and explain why you made that choice. Was it cheaper? Was it an unnecessary feature?  Was it a style choice or a function choice?

When you find prices for materials or labour online you include a hyperlink to the page where you found it or include a screen capture of it.
