Reason For Learning
It is important for students to recognise real life applications for mathematical knowledge learned in the classroom. This project aims to challenge students to complete a real world project management task within both physical real world constraints as well as budgetary constraints. Students will be encouraged to think outside the box in terms of how they can achieve their goals in the best (if not cheapest) way possible for their situation.
Learning Intention
Students will develop mathematical thinking, geometric, measurement, financial, ratio and other mathematical skills.
Students will build interpersonal skills (if working in pairs) and work allocation.
Students will develop research skills as well as build on their ICT knowledge.
