Introduction The film Remember The Titans demonstrates how team work and determination can defeat racism

At the start of the film the problems of racism are obvious. None of the African American or white players will work together. They refuse to sit together until Coach Boone makes them sit together on the bus. At the camp and the school they fight each other. When they returned from camp the parents are not happy that the two groups seem to be friendly. On the first day of school the parents are protesting against the integration of schools. (add more examples and at least 2 quotes)

Yet this anger changes as the two groups bond and understand each other. The Titans start to work together as a team after Coach Boone tells them about ‘Gettysburg’ a grave yard for young soldiers during the American Civil War. ‘If we do not come together we will be destroyed’ just like the soldiers were.  (at least 2 other examples and another quote)

Conclusion – sum up your main ideas related to topic and the director’s purpose.

‘You've taught this city how to trust the soul of a man rather than the look of him’ – try and use this in the conclusion – normally no quotes in the conclusion of an essay but some of you may be able to use this to show the film director’s purpose.
