By now you should have created inquiry questions and finalised the topic for your exploration and discovery project, as well as allocating defined roles to each member of the group.

1. Research

This you do if you are working in groups. Divide your inquiry questions among the members of the group (you should have at least 2 inquiry questions to research each).

Use your inquiry questions to begin researching your topic. The following are examples of where you can find valuable information:

Your local library

Talking to an expert

The internet (remember to use valuable websites)

History textbooks

Documentaries

Youtube videos

2.  Record Progress

Fill out the progress section of your exploration and discovery planning/progress sheet and make sure you show your teacher at school.

Finding Primary Sources

including primary sources will make your project stand out from the rest. Visit museums or the websites of museums to find artefacts that came from ancient times...

For example, Tutankhamun's tomb that he was actually buried in thousands of year ago was recently exhibited at the Melbourne Museum

1. Finalising the plan

Go through your planning/progress sheet, and make sure all sections are completed. Do you know exactly what topic you are researching, and how you will present your info? Does each person in the group have a defined role that does not depend on the other members?  

Email your planning/progress sheet to your teacher.

2. Research
