Unit 3 - Displaying Bivariate Data using Scatterplots

Reason For Learning

You will need to be able to construct and comprehend scatterplots.

Learning Intention

Construct scatterplots, both manually and on a CAS calculator. Interpret the relationship between independent and dependent data. We may need to know what the relationship between two sets of numerical data is. So, we need a representation that can tell this - hence scatterplots. With scatterplots, we can see directly if there is any association between the independent variable and the dependent variable and estimate what the strength of this association is.
