- Students should know how individual Track and Field events (ie. 100m, Shot Put etc) are run and the rules invovled.

History of the Decathlon
- From where did the modern day Decathlon derive?  Who competed in these events?   What did it try to prove?  
- When was the Decathlon introduced at the Olympics?
- What 'title' is generally given to someone who wins the Olympic Decathlon?

Part 1 - Warm Up
Light Jog and Stretch

Part 2 - Skill Application
Student's to complete their individual Heptathlon.  Aim is to get the best score possible.  Student's should be aware of previous personal bests from earlier Learning Bites, so can use that data as a benchmark.  TC Competition Events include:

Heptathlon:
- 20m Agility Ladder Hurdles (hurdle gets knocked over = 1 point loss)
- Multi Clap Ball Toss - (dropped catch = 1 point loss)
- Shot Put  
- Footy Goal to Footy Goal Race  
- Standing Long Jump
- Javelin
- Oval Lap

1st Place = 20 Points
2nd Place = 18 points
3rd Place = 16 points
4th Place = 14 points etc

Part 3 - Conclusion
- Discuss what events make up both a Heptathlon and Decathlon
- Ask students what they enjoyed?  What they found challenging?  
- Where they surprised with any of their individual results?
