Part 1 - Warm Up
'Softball Tag'
Description:
- 2 fielders with gloves are 'IT'; they share ONE, passing it between each other.
- The "IT" players try and tag the runners with the ball in the glove.
- "IT" players can not run with the ball, they can only pivot
- Those "IT" without the ball are free to move wherever they like within the boundaries
- Runners can not go outside the boundaries
- When runners are tagged they get a glove and become "IT"
- Last player standing is the winner

Part 2 - Skill Progression/Development
'Kick Ball'
Description:
- 2 x teams (one batting and one fielding)
- Same rules as Softball, however a soccer ball will be rolled to batter who then proceeds to kick the ball into the field.
- Soccer ball must be fielded and returned to pitcher who calls out "stop".
- Runners must be on a base when pitcher calls out "stop" otherwise they are out.
- You can have any number of runners on bases.
Modifications:
- Batter must kick an AFL ball, throw a tennis ball (which are in hoops by the batters feet) and then kick the soccer ball that has been rolled at them.   Fielding team must return all items of equipment from where they started before "stop" can be called.
- 3-out-all-out and side away.
- Only 1 batter per base

'Continuous Softball'
Description:
- Select two even teams, one batting and one fielding
- Fielders spread out in playing area and aim to throw the ball back to the pitcher who pitches again to strike zone whether batter is back or not.
- Batter is out if ball is caught or if pitcher hits the strike zone.
- Game is continuous ie. pitcher pitches whenever they have the ball.  Encourage quick transitions between batters once they are out.
- Batter scores runs by rounding around a cone placed 10m away
- All out changeover
- Change pitcher regularly
