'Variation Softball'
Description:
- Two Teams (one fielding, one batting)
- Batter attempts to hit a lobbed volleyball forward of batting line, (behind batting line is foul territory)
- After ball is hit, batter must run to the 'safe area'.  Batter can choose to stay in safe area or run straight back across batting line to score a run.
-Once batter leaves safe area they must run home, (cannot go back to safe area)
- Next batter repeats.
- Batting team can have no more than 3 runners in safe area
- Fielders attempt to field the ball and tag runner (below the shoulders) with the volleyball while they are running between safe area and batting line
- Fielders can pass the ball between themselves and move in any position they like, however they cannot move once they have the ball
- All batters bat and change innings
- Batter is out if caught or tagged between safe area and home.

Modifications:
- 3 out and side away
- Batter cannot stay in 'safe area'
- Fielding team can throw volleyball (depending on ability of group)
- Fielding team allowed 2 steps with the ball
