The video link below is an introduction to the sport of Lacrosse and highlights some of its basic rules and growing populatiry world wide.  
From the video answer the following questions:

1. What other sporting elements does Lacrosse feature?  
2. How many countries is Lacrosse played World wide?  At what levels?
3. Where did Lacrosse originate from?  
4. How many players are on the field per team in Men's Lacrosse?  What positions are they?   What must happen in both the offensive and defensive halves at all times?     
5. How many players are on the field per team in Women's Lacrosse?  What positions are they?   What must happen in both the offensive and defensive halves at all times?     
6. What are the protective equipment items needed for mens Lacrosse?  Is this different for Women's Lacrosse?  
7. How many people play Lacrosse at College/Club level?  How many play at Youth level?  
8. How often does the US National team offer tryouts?  
9. What is US Lacrosse's mission?

Part 1 - Warm Up:

'Rats and Rabbits' 
- Group split in two teams and players face each other in two lines 3m apart. 
- One line is called “Rats”, the other “Rabbits”.  Teacher/student calls out either “Rats” or “Rabbits”.  
- The named team then turns and runs to the end line while the other team tries to tag them.  
- Players who catch someone on the opposite team before reaching the end safe zone get 1 point. 

Modification:
- Repeat activity, however each player must now carry a softcrosse stick with a ball inside whilst running.

Part 2 - Skill Progression/Development
'Partner to Partner Passing/Catching'
-Opportunity for you to practice throwing and catching using a lacrosse stick.  
Modifications:
- Alter distance between partners
- Count how many successful throws/catches can be made within a time limit
- Must make sure two hands remain on stick at all times.

'Ground Ball’
Work individually (or in pairs but take turns) to work on scooping up a ground ball with your lacrosse stick    
Modifications:  
- Scooping, (picking up) the ball smoothly and continue running  
- Have partner roll the ball to you so ball is no longer stationary
- Play against a partner.  Both people try to win the loose ball pick up.  Can play for points.

'2 v 1 or Keepings Off'
- Trying to maintain possession of the ball and support the ball carrier by passing accurately to partner and away from defender.  The aim is for paired players to create space in attack.
- After a while rotate defender in the middle.

Part 3 - Skill Application
'Game' 
- Set up 2-4 equal teams.
- Students/teams not playing act as officials, ie. Referee/score
- Round 1: 2v1, 3v4
- Round 2 : 4v2, 1v3
- Round 3 : 4v1, 2v3
