Part 1 - Warm Up
'Backboard Rebound'
Teams.  Single file near free throw line.  Students utilising backboard try to keep the basketball in the air for as long as possible.  First student in line throws it up against backboard for next student in line to attempt the same.  Students try to set a record number of rebounds within time limit.
Modification:
- Students are not allowed to have their feet on the ground when in possession of the ball.

Modifications:
- Change skill (set, dig)
- Change distance or height of ball flight path
- Can practice skill individually or with partner
- Can utilise a wall or volleyball court space
- Allow ball to bounce before attempting skill

**  Link below offers a visual of game/activity.  **

'Group Setting/Digging - Single File'
Similar to above, however groups of students are placed in a single file. Person at front set/digs ball into the air and then runs to the back of their line.  Next person at front continues to keep the ball in the air.

'Group Setting/Digging - Circle'

Part 3 - Skill Application
'Around the World'
Class split into two even groups.  Groups line up single file behind 1st player on their side of the court.  Every time a player sets/digs the ball over the net they must run in a clockwise direction to join the back of the line of the group on the other side of the court.  The game becomes quite fast and intense.  There are two ways you can play the game:
- As a group see how many times you can keep the shuttle in the air
- 'Knockout'.  Anytime a player hits the shuttle in the net, misses the shot or hits the shot out of play they are out.  When down to the final two people play a normal rally point to determine winner.

** (picture to go here) **

'Newcombe Ball'
Teams.  Students to play Newcombe, emphasising '3 touches and over' the net.
Modifications:
- Time limit with the ball.
- Introduce 1 bounce
- introduce proper setting and digging techniques.
