Once you have completed your analysis of a particular skill in cricket compare it to that of a professional cricketer.  Take notes of any similarities and differences between your own technique and that of the professional you have chosen.  What areas of your technique need improving?  How can you alter these areas to improve your technique?

Once students have completed the video analysis they will be assessed on their ability to identify the following components:

- What are the strengths of your technique?

- What areas need improving in your technique?

- How could you improve these areas requiring change?

- How does your technique compare to a professional cricketer?

- What are some skill development activities you could apply to improve these weaknesses?

During this lesson students will be given the opportunity to access video equipment and record each other undertaking a particular skill required in cricket and analysing how it compares to the technique of a professional cricketer.  Students will work in groups of four videoing each other.  They must provide 3 different angles of the skill to provide thorough analyse and breakdown of the skill.

Once the footage has been captured they may then view the footage on their lap tops and breakdown the skill into its key components.   For example with throwing in fielding they would highlight side on, step forward, point at target, bent elbow, release ball, follow through.  Then they must analyse it and compare it to a professional cricketer adding correct adjustments, arrow, notes of how technique should be.  They will be given the whole lesson to undertake the video analysis
