Part 1 - Warm Up
'3 Bounce'
Equipment: 1 basketball
Students are spread out in space. A student starts off with the ball and must throw the ball over their head, (anywhere they like).  The ball must bounce 3 times before it can be picked up.  The closest player to the ball after 3 bounces must catch the ball.  If they do not then they are out.  Last player left wins.
Rules:
- Ball must be thrown with two hands over players head.  If not = out!
- Ball must bounce 3 times (within the court) before being caught.  If prior = out!
- If ball is not picked up after 3rd bounce, players closest are out.
- If ball goes out of play before 3 bounces, player who threw the ball is out
Modifications:
- Increase/decrease the playing space
- Time limit with possession of the ball.

Part 2 - Skill Progression/Development
'10 Pass'
2 teams. 1 x basketball.  Netball rules when in possession of ball. Aim is for a team with the ball to try and make 10 passes amongst themselves.  The other team are obviously trying to intercept and regain possession of the ball.  If 10 passes are made, then a point is awarded to that team, the ball is turned over and the other team start with possession.   You can play to a time limit or first team to 5-10 points.

'Cops and Robbers'
2 teams. 10 x basketballs.  Students are divided into two groups, 'cops' and 'robbers'.  Whoever are cops must try to maintain possession of the ball by dribbling around the space.  Robbers must work to steal the ball to become cops.  Therefore, roles rotate.

'Lay Up Rebound'
2 sides.  1 x shooting, 1 x rebounding.
Shooting side take turns to dribble the ball towards goal and attempt a lay up to score.  Once a shot has been made, the rebounders return the ball to the shooting side and both those players will swap roles.

Part 3 - Skill Application/Game
'Numbers Basketball'
Sideline activity.  2 teams, lined up on opposite sidelines of court.  Students are given a number (1-10 or dependant on class size).  If their number is called out they are players who play the game.   Game stops either when a basket is scored or after a time limit.   Players return to their sides and a new set of numbers is called.
