Discuss with students what Surface Area is. Discuss what surface are is used in eg building, landscaping ect.
Go over examples of how to find the Surface Area of Rectagular andTriangular Prisms using examples on the board.
Have students watch the following 2 video explanation. When they are finished watching discuss further if needed.

Have students complete questions from Maths Quest Yr 9, Chapter 12D.
