Discuss with students the different types of formulas used to find the area of;

  • Circle
  • Rectangle
  • Square

Go through how to use each formula. Put up an example of a composite shape and let students guide you through which area formulas to use. Give them prompts when needed.

Have students play the convertion maths game on Manga High remembering to try answer the quiz to their full capabilities. This will help them refresh over what they did last class.

If students finish early they can start completing the questions from Maths Quest 9, Chapter 12B.
