We will discuss what a Percentage is, where we see them in every day life, what the symbol stands for and how to change them into fractions.

There are three examples which will go on the board to which we have to change into fractions together as a class. These three examples are listed below:

  • 12%
  • 2 1/2%
  • 35.68%

These three examples are key to being able to successfully manipulate all percentages into fractions. Please make sure to copy down the examples!
