Awesome explanations for endothermy, ectothermy, homeo and poikilothermy and molecular mechanisms behind elevated metabolic rates for endotherms.

An excellent resource for understanding metabolic response to the environment and the adaptations animals and birds have for varying temperature niches. Links nicely from homeostasis (and enantiostatis) to long term adaptive responses in living organisms. I've highlighted some of the important concepts, the graphs in this chapter are awesome for concept-development in a pictorial/visual manner.
