The Potassium Movement Model has replaced the old model for stomatal opening and closure 'due to sucrose/starch concentration'. Instead, the solute causing osmoregulated movement of water into and out of the stomata is now known to be Potassium.

Please update your notes.

An interesting paper that takes you through research on the movement of solutes from source to sink in plants, and has multiple graphs with two y-axes!

Go through and highlight keywords, understand the abstract and discussion and only skim the graphs in the results section and try to gain an overview of what is being represented by them before reading their captions. You do not need to read anything else (unless you have the time and really want to) to get an idea of what is being covered.

I'm happy to go over any questions you may have about this.

A full summary of all the concepts learned up to this stage.

Covers photosynthesis, respiration, homeostasis, transport of substances, as well as Ecology and a bit of Genetics.
