Refer to your Studio art textbook, Art-isan. Read 'LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION' pages 7-11.

ACTIVITY:

Collect objects in your home that provide stimulus for exploring your own ideas. These can be anything from discarded cereal boxes, concert tickets, old jewellery, drink bottles or toys. Reflect how these objects inspire your own artmaking.

Visual diaries should not only contain images from the internet or from magazines. Occasionally this can lead to breach of copyright which you will learn about later on in the course. You must be able to produce YOUR OWN imagery and inspiration.

ACTIVITY:

Look through photo albums and old family photos. Incude some photos as inspiration and reflect how you may use these to develop ideas for art.
