Common acids you would be expected to know the chemical formula for:

Hydrochloric acid (HCl) - strong

Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) - strong

Nitric acid (HNO3) - strong

Ethanoic acid (CH3COOH) - weak

Common bases you would be expected to know the chemical formula for:

Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) - strong

Any hydroxide eg. Mg(OH)2 or Ca(OH)2

Ammonia (NH3)

Don't forget many other basic formula are easily found by looking at your common ion table.
