Essay or Text Response Check list :

1. Is your essay complete?

2. Review the PowerPoint if you need to refresh your memory of the film 

3. Review essay structure in previous learning bites.

4. Work on the hand-written draft by reading over your note.

5. Type your hand-written draft to improve it. 

 Consider the following :

Are there sufficient quotes?

Have you written in formal language with the correct sentence structure and punctuation?

Do NOT use "I think that...'. 

Have you included an introduction and conclusion?

Have you included film techniques?

Ask a family member to read your essay.

Different students complete essays at different times.

Therefore you may need more time to complete your essay.

CHECK LIST :

Is your essay complete?

Are there four paragraphs including an introduction and conclusion?

Are there enough quotes in the body paragraphs?

Have you included film techniques?

Do you need more time to write the draft?

Do you have correct sentence structure and punctuation?

Do NOT use "I think that..." ever.

Ask your teacher to model a paragraph on the board.

IF  HAND-WRITTEN DRAFT IS COMPLETE :

If you have finished the draft show this to your teacher in this class.

Type your hand-written draft AFTER you have edited it.

Next class

Finish typed essay.

Show your typed essay to another student.

Read other students essays.

 

 

 

 

Discuss what else is needed with your teacher.

 

Share your work with another student and ask them if your essay is fluent.

 

Submit the hand written draft and your final typed copy.
