Based on the planning done in previous bite, begin writing your creative writing piece.

Firstly, consider the following:

For short stories, come up with a detailed plot plan:

1) How will you introduce characters and setting in the opening? Ensure you avoid sentences like "John was 13 and really tall and lived in Melbourne" You need to do it in a much more interesting way, in which you introduce character and setting AS PART OF the story e.g. "John woke up, looked in the mirror and realised he'd had ANOTHER growth spurt during the night. He wondered if, at this rate, he would be 7 foot tall by the time he turned 14."

2) What conflicts will your charcters face?

3) What is the climax/most exciting part of the story?

4) How will it be resolved?

For poetry:

What is the purpose of each poem? What are you trying to say and what mood are you trying to convey?

Write a metaphor, simile and an example of personification. Now try and incorporate these into your poems as you write them.
