Create a Venn Diagram.

List the traits and choices a stereotypical Rich Girl might make on one side of the diagram

On the other side make a list of Caitlin's traits and choices.

If any overlap, put them in the middle of the diagram.

Find at least three quotes that explain WHY she rejects stereotypes. Next to the quote write a short explanation of why the quote shows this.

Write quotes/explanations at the bottom of your Venn Diagram

Discuss with someone who has read the book whether there is such a thing as a typical girl anymore? If there is, in what way does Caitlin embody this? What are traditional gender roles? Does Caitlin's behaviour challenge these? Find quotes that support points raised in discussion.

Jot down some observations and quotes to support them and sbmit these to your teacher.
