Find your position

Description

The group is divided into two teams, with each being told which way they are shooting.

The aim of the game is for the centre to get the ball to the player called out by the coach as quickly as possible.

Coaching Points

To begin with there is no defensive element to this drill - the aim is simply for players to move the ball as quickly as possible (make sure players work the ball round the court).

    Variations:

Have two balls, one with each centre. When the coach calls out a player, see which team can get the ball to them the fastest! To make this more challenging you can call out multiple player positions to get the ball moving around the entire court.

Cone Carry

Description

The two team are competiting against one another and are trying to take cones from their opponents area and place them behind their line.

Coaching Points

Each player is only allowed to take one cone at a time.

Any numbers of players. Could go as a relay or all at once.

Play within a time limit - which team will have the most cones in their third at the end of one minute?
