Part 1 - Warm Up:
'5 Pass Palooza'
Description:
2 teams.  One team starts with the ball and must try to pass the ball 5 times to teamates in order to score a point.   The other team is allowed to defend and intercept the ball.   First team to 5 points win.

Rules:
- Cannot move with the ball
- Must pass using underarm throw
- If ball is intercepted passing count reverts back to zero (0)

Modifications:
- Change how players pass the ball, (eg. must pass and catch with their non dominate hand, overarm throw etc)
- Introduce mits into the game so students can familiarise themselves with a fielding glove
- A player cannot catch the ball twice.  Must try and include whole team.
- Change the number of passes in order to score, (eg. 10 passes)

Part 2 - Skill Progression/Development
'Partner Throwing and Catching'
- Students partner up and practice overarm throwing and catching the ball (using a fielding glove)
Modifications:
- Increase/decrease distances away from partner
- Players need to catch the ball using the following
      * Catch the ball above their head
      * Catch the ball on either side of body (almost like playing a forearm              and backhand shot in tennis)
      * Catch the below waist

'Ground Ball Pick Up'
In pairs students roll the ball along the ground, fielding player must get used to scooping ball into glove in one fluid motion.  Return the ball by rolling the ball along the ground back to partner.

'Batting Practice'
Make small groups of about 4-5 players and set up a few batting stations where students can practice their batting off a tee.  One students bats 5 or so times whilst the others field and then players rotate so everyone has a go batting.  The link below provides some basic tips on how to bat.
Modification:
- Set up bases (or cones) and have batters simulate running to 1st base after they have hit the ball.

Part 3 - Game/Conclusion
'Beat The Ball'
Description:
- two teams:  batting and fielding
- Normal fielding positions as for Teeball/Softball/Baseball
- Batting team hits ball into fair territory and attempts to run around all the bases to home base.
- Fielders retrieve the ball and then throw to 1st, 2nd 3rd and home bases (in that order) as quick as possible. Fielders on bases must tag their base before they can throw to next position.
- If the ball beats runner to home then runner is out.
- If runner gets to home before the ball then 1 run is scored.
- All batters hit then swap teams over
- (N.B. only way out is at home base)

Teeball Match
Play a game with two even teams. Give students the opportunity to play in different positions and to officiate the game.

Ask a few questions as plenary discussion, for example:
- What did you enjoy?
- What did you find difficult?
- Name a major rule?
