Choosing and Researching Area of Interest

1. Compile a list of interview questions to ask a fellow student what their area of interest is, why they're interested in it and what else they'd like to know about it. Interview a class mate and they will also interview you. There is a list of topics below that you could choose from if you are struggling to think of an area of interest for your interview.

2. As a class, brainstorm a list of text types that each student can use to explore their topic. They should be under the heading of creative, persuasive and analytical/expository texts. 3. Choosing one of the brainstormed text types, write a plan that details how you would construct your chosen text type within the context of your topic.
