1. From the attached list, or based on your own personal hobby or area of interest, choose a topic that you will explore in this unit of work.

2. Compile a list of interview questions to ask yourself about your chosen topic. Have a family member/friend ask you these questions.

3.  Choose a text type from the list attached and write a dot point plan that details how you would construct your chosen text type within the context of your topic.

1. Compile a list of interview questions to ask a fellow student what their area of interest is, why they're interested in it and what else they'd like to know about it. Interview a class mate and they will also interview you. There is a list of topics below that you could choose from if you are struggling to think of an area of interest for your interview.

2. As a class, brainstorm a list of text types that each student can use to explore their topic. They should be under the heading of creative, persuasive and analytical/expository texts.

3. Choosing one of the brainstormed text types, write a plan that details how you would construct your chosen text type within the context of your topic.
