Show cartoon below, what is the illustrator's contention and tone?

Do any of the same techniques studied when looking at the opinion article apply in the visual image also (they do, e.g. exaggeration)

What are some of the purely visual techniques that the writer uses? (e.g. the significance of the white background?)

Add to the technique, example, effect table done while studying the article by listing the persuasive techniques used in the image and the effect they have on the reader.

Write up a TEE paragraph on a technique/techniques used in the image. (Ensure you have described the image at the start of your paragraph)

Add this to your previous paragraphs from the article and submit as your first media analysis essay!

Alternative task - TATTOOS.

The issue is whether or not the popular trend of tattoos should be accepted so readily, especially among young people.

While some consider them artistic and 'cool', others find them offensive and even dangerouse.

Open the resource and follow instructions.

This can be done in class with teacher assistance.

You will need a list of persuasive techniques to help you identify appeals and discuss how language is used to persuade.
