Under the list of arguments you wrote in the last bite- write in some persuasive points using as many techniques as you can remember from previous persuasion studies.

For example:

if you have chosen the contention 'the gap between rich and poor is widening'

-write in a rhetorical question that also uses emotive language:

e.g. do you really want to be part of a society where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?

or use inclusive language and a call to action:

e.g. we can all do something by petitioning politicians to change their policies.

Share your examples with peers/family members and write down some good examples that cover a range of persuasive techniques.

brainstorm a longer list of techniques, use persuasive language techniques sheet that was previously given.

Using the attached planner to help- start writing up your short presuasive speech.

Seek feedback from the teacher via emails and peers/family members.

Share your examples with the class and the teacher will write some good examples on the board that cover a range of persuasive techniques.

As a class, brainstorm a longer list of techniques using persuasive language techniques sheet previously given to you.
