Watch the video clip of the Goldfrapp song Utopia- write down a few dot points about the ideas this song gives you of what it would be like to live in a utopia.

In dot points describe the day to day life of someone who lives in the Capitol in The Hunger Games. Give direct evidence, inclusing quotes, from the novel.

Now record in dot point form how this compares with those in the poorer districts.

Answer the following questions in full sentences.

Does the novel show us that utopia can not exist?

What are dystopias? (you may need to research this)

Does attempting to create utopia actually create dystopia?

Discuss how this compares with those in the poorer districts Does the novel, therefore, show us that utopia can not exist? What are dystopias? Does attempting to create utopia actually create dystopia?

Your teacher will show you a powerpoint below to look at the characteristics of dystopias and utopias.

See the site below for a questionaire to consider how different aspects of your utopia would function.

By answering (some of) these questions students can CREATE THEIR OWN PERFECT WORLD!

You can present this any way you wish, either in visual, written or oral form.
