What is a documentary?

Provide examples.

In what ways is a documentary different from other films and literature that you have already studied?

What is the aim of a documentary?

Is it to engage and present facts that are reliable?

1. Read over the work you have done on the themes and notes from class discussion of the novel.

2. Select a theme you wish to present :

the plague

health services

education

poverty

children's rights

women's rights

or create one that you think is worthwhile and that interests you from your study of the novel.

Aim - to select material to present confidently either in the form of a speech or power point and speech to the class.

Which images will you use?

How will you separate the main points so that you do not have too much writing?

What references will you use?

Make sure you have a bibliography of  at least two historical references and  relevant page numbers from the novel.

Use ideas from the novel and direct students to the relevant pages.

Presentation of your documentary.
