  • What possible reasons do countries have for going to war?
  • Why can't countries resolve matters prior to going to war?
  • How can countries resolve matters rather than going to war?
  • What are the consequences of war? Who benefits, who looses in war?
  • Brainstorm world conflicts using some of the ideas above and your own.
  • World War 1 was also called 'The War to End all Wars, The Great War' and World War 1'. Why?
