This sample is for your assistance only but use your own ideas. Your story does not have to be from the view point of a guard. It could be a character waiting for the escaped prisoner. Who else could it be?

Point of view in a detailed paragraph.

Use one  or more of the following to write two versions of the same incident from the point of view of each character, or create your own scenario.

DISCUSS the ideas below

CHOOSE one or two of the following or create one of your own to write about the SAME event from the point of view of two different characters.

WRITE a rough plan either independently or with a partner.

1.

Two characters, one is a Collingwood supporter and the other is a Geelong supporter

Setting - the Grand Final in its final moments

Action -  While Collingwood is a goal in front, suddenly Geelong scores a goal and wins the Grand Final.

In two separate stories, show the different point of view of each character in the final moments of the game and the different reactions.

2.

Two characters, one is an elderly person sitting and reading a newspaper at a coffee shop, the other a teenager with a group of friends standing near an open stage area where a band is setting up.

Setting -  Federation Square late afternoon

Action - loud music begins as a new band plays

In two separate stories, show the reactions of each character.

3.  Your own choice/idea - this can be done with a partner.

Is the story in first person or not? What difference will this make to your story?
