TASK Write a paragraph or more before the story begins.

Think of ideas for a new beginning to the story :

Adding a paragraph or more to the beginning of the story.

What new information could you provide to explain the reasons for the escape?

What was happeng before the story began?

Is there dialogue?

Who is the main protagonist? Is he a criminal or perhaps a prisoner of war?

Any other ideas?

Record your ideas in one note so you can email your teacher.

Creative writing begins :

You need to LINK your ideas in a well-developed paragraph or paragraphs so that it makes sense and adds depth to the story.

Point of view and tense (past present etc) must be the same as the student story, unless you choose to end the story months or years later.

Remember to use language in creative ways - this includes descriptive language.

Describe character, action, mood and setting.

Emails to teacher of work done at home or if completed at school in class, all ideas and paragraphs added are shown to the teacher and shared in the next classes.

CHECK your writing

Finally - check your spelling and sentence structure.

Does each sentence begin with a capital letter and end with a fullstop?

Is punctuation of dialogue accurate if you have included this?
