1. What is an inquiry question, and how does it differ from other questions?
Inquiry questions are essential when undertaking a research project of your choice. There is so much information out there, it is important that you know exactly the scope of information that you want to include in your project.
Talk to a friend or family member about what they think a definition of inquiry question is. Can they give you some examples?

2. Identifying inquiry questions
It can be hard to differentiate inquiry questions from other regular questions. Inquiry questions should have more complex answers (not one word answers!), and should allow you to undertake in-depth research.
Below are a list of questions - identify which ones you think are inquiry questions.
What is the time?
How are humans similar to animals?
How has religion changed throughout the last several centuries?
In what year was Nelson Mandela born?
What impact did the industrial revolution have on the present day?
How many wheels does a standard bicycle have?
How does the learning experience at TC differ from other Australian schools?
