1. What is an exploration and discovery project?

You have been given a snapshot of various aspects of Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome. You will now be given the opportunity to explore an area of ancient civilisations that interests you. Examples of topics include:

Embalming and Mummification in Ancient Egypt

A comparison of gods and goddesses in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome

Arts and Culture in Ancient civilisations

People and class structure in Ancient Rome

Your exploration topic can involve one ancient civilisation or a combination and comparison of a few.

Bibliography or Reference list.

For the Exploration and Discovery Project you are going to have to produce a list of the sources you used to find your information. This is call referencing, in the world of Ancient history and Archaeology the format used is called Author-date or the Harvard system. Below you can find a handy guide to how to use the Harvard system when write your Bibliography or reference list.
