Below is a video showing some of the worst Emperors of Ancient Rome

Read and explore pages 244-247 (Oxford Big Ideas: History 7) which is all about gladiators and the Colosseum. Choose two people pictured on these pages and construct a dialogue between the two people. The dialogue should demonstrate both creativity and your historical understanding of Ancient Rome and their customs.

Imagine that we could travel back in time to Ancient Civilisations. Pretend that you are a travel agent and you are trying to encourage people to go on your tours to Ancient Rome. Create an advertisement for a time travel tour to Ancient Rome and include at least five things that people should see and/or do and why. This could be in the form of a poster, brochure, clip or a presentation.

The Role of Women

In ancient societies the role and rights of women was usually far more restricted than what we see in Australian society today.

Compare and contrast both the constraints and the opportunities that women had in Rome with what women have today. You may also like to consider informal influence such as the influence of a number of women on different Caesars. This could be done in a variety of formats including visual and text based formats.
