Students will discuss with a family member or friend the various responsibilities they had when they were a young child and compare these to their present responsibilities.

Students will discuss with a family member or friend the past reponsibilities they had when they were a child and what responsibilities they have now.

Student to come prepared to discuss this in class.

Start developing a two columned table. One column will include the reponsibilities you had as a child making sure you are including specific examples, e.g, feeding my pet every morning and evening. The other column will be your present responsibilties that will also include specific detailed examples, e.g, completing certain homework and home-learning tasks, submitting work on time, buying my own food at lunchtime.

Once you have completed the table you will be ready to discuss this further in class.

You will use this information to create a TEEL based paragraph on 'how your responsibilities will change in the next five years'.

Activity will include discussion of students conversation of how their lives have changed sonce they were children.

In groups you are to read and discuss the information on the worksheet provided 'Life of a child'.

You may now use the information  from the article Life of a child  and or your own notes on how your life has changed to write a TEEL paragraph one of the two topics

How my life is expected to change in the next five years

or

How good is my life compared to the children of the Industrial Revolution
