1. Personal histories

Each student recieves a piece of paper with a picture on it, which matches the picture of one other person. Students need to find the person with the same picture as them, and will work as a pair.

In you pair, introduce yourselves to each other and discuss the following:

Where were you born?

What primary school did you go to?

What is your special talent?

What is your pet hate?

What is your favourite food?

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you in the last year?

Any other information about yourself that you'd like to share.

Each pair will then introduce each other to the class and tell their partner's personal history.

Activity 1: Activity 1: Students play Ice Breaker game (to help them get to know each other’s names).
Name game: The teacher starts and either gives an animal or food that starts with the same letter as her first name. E.g. Sarah Sausage. Each child has a turn saying all the previous people's names and food/animals before them. E.g. Sarah Sausage, William Watermellon, Tommy tomato etc.
