10A Solve problems using the sine, cosine and area rules for any triangle

Reason For Learning

Not all triangles have right angles so two other rules from trigonometry become very important: The Sine Rule, and The Cosine Rule. Once you know these problems involving non-right angled triangles can be solved. Use of the sine and cosine rule leads into more senior levels of maths.

Learning Intention

Using the Sine Rule to find unknown sides and angles Using the Cosine Rule to find unknown sides and angles.Combining trigonometry skills to solve problems. Using the sine and cosine rule to calculate area.
