Geometry: Proof that the base angles in an isosceles triangle are equal, that opposite angles in a rhombus and that opposite angels in a parallelogram are equal.

Reason For Learning

From early on in primary school we are given simple facts about triangles and geometry, it is useful to use new knowledge and skills to prove that these are true.

Learning Intention

Students will try to figure out how to prove the base angles in an isosceles triangle are equal. Students will try to prove that vertically opposite angles are equal. Students will try to prove that opposite angles in a parallelogram are equal.
