10A How trigonometric functions can be used to describe periodic motion

Reason For Learning

The most important examples of periodic motion are the trigonometric functions. The study of the periodic properties of circular functions leads to solutions of many real-world problems. These include planetary motion, sound waves, electricity creation, earthquakes and tide movements.

Learning Intention

Understand the nature of periodic motion (including simple harmonic motion). Know how to solve problems involving periodic motion.
