10A Use the unit circle to establish the symmetry of sine and cosine

Reason For Learning

The unit circle provides a lot of information about trigonometric functions. It enables calculations of greater than 90 degrees. The radian is the most useful angle measure in mathematics.

Learning Intention

Understand the unit circle. Understand how sine and cosine are defined in terms of the coordinates of points on the unit circle. Define and use radian measure for angles. Locate and define six trigonometric functions.
