Odds and Payouts

Reason For Learning

Probability tries to quantify uncertainty. However, if additional information is known, the degree of uncertainty will change. Conditional probability deals with calculating probabilities when further information has been provided as to the event in question.

Learning Intention

In this lesson, students will be able to calculate conditional probabilities. They will be able to use a formula to calculate the probability that an event A occurs given the event B has already occurred.
