10A Surface area of pyramids and cones

Reason For Learning

It is possible to figure out the total surface area of different 3-D shapes if you know how to find the area of common 2-D shapes. For example, the total surface area (TSA) of a square pyramid can be found by find the area of the square base and then adding the area of the four triangles.

Learning Intention

I can find the TSA of pyramids, cones and composite shapes by using a formula or finding the area of all the 2-D shapes and adding them together.
