Negative index numbers

Reason For Learning

Negative indices appear frequently in mathematics. In order to simplfy some algebraic expressions, one must be able to interpret these quantities.

Learning Intention

In this lesson you will learn how to interpret and simplify algebraic expressions that contain negative indices. You will learn that an algebraic expression raised to a negative index can be interpreted as the reciprocal of the same algebraic expression raised to a positive index.
