Historical Mathematicians: Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

Reason For Learning

Mathematicians require the ability to efficiently and effectively conduct research and present their findings to their peers for review. It is important for them to find suitable sources and collate data to reflect their values. Likewise, it is important to see how their contributions to mathematical knowledge are built on the work of those in the past.

Learning Intention

Students will build on and develop their ICT, research and communication skills by first conducting research and then either presenting a PowerPoint presentation, teaching a mini-lesson or making some other presentation (as negotiated with their teacher).
