Linear Graphs: Interpreting distance time graphs

Reason For Learning

Often, the journey of an object is plotted on a distance vs time graph. This type of graph can be used to not only find out the positin of an object, but also it can tell use how quickly it is moving. This learning bite describes how to interpret a distance vs time graph to find the position and speed of an object.

Learning Intention

Looking at features of distance vs time graphs including: position (positive values, and negative positions for extension), when objects are stationary, moving more quickly and less quickly (gradient) and describing overall journeys.
