Reason For Learning

To give participants skills for dealing with some of the difficult issues young people experience and the behaviours they might present, such as anger and aggression. This topic is studied to encourage participants to be better prepared to support young people by learning strategies to deal with these behaviours, such as managing conflict and solving problems.

Learning Intention

By the end of this topic students will have a greater understanding of some of the difficult emotions experienced by young people, and the expression of those emotions through behaviours that may be encountered within the mentoring relationship. Participants will have the strategies and techniques to deal with these situations.
