Calculation of speed

Reason For Learning

Speed is often measured in km/h. This means that it can be calculated by looking at the change in distance divided by the change in time. If we are given a word problem, the speed can be found by using the formula: Speed = distance / time. If we are looking at a distance-time graph, the speed is the as the gradient of the graph.

Learning Intention

I can find the speed of an object from a word problem or a distance-time graph.
