SAC PROMPTS
UNIT 3 CONTEXT IDENTITY AND BELONGING
ONE of the following prompts will be given as the SAC prompt next week:
- It is only through a safe and supportive environment that we are free to discover our identity.
- The perceptions of others determine who we are and where we belong.
- Only when we challenge ourselves will we find where we belong.
Preparation for the SAC next week:
CHEAT SHEET – ONE SIDE HAND WRITTEN used in first lesson only.
Brainstorm the key words and concepts of each prompt. Use a dictionary/thesaurus to look up key words for the cheat sheet – synonyms and antonyms.
Consider the main ideas of IDENTITY, BELONGING AND NOT BELONGING and have key words or a list of vocabulary for each.
Have relevant quotes/ideas from the Core Text: Mudrooroo’s Wild Cat Falling and the supplementary texts that you have chosen. These can be the texts used in class or those you have chosen yourself.
You must have 2 paragraphs using Wild Cat Falling.
Formulate a response in dot points that you could use as an introduction and ideas for paragraphs.
Explore the prompt statement, question it, agree with it, rather than write a one-sided essay.
Have your cheat sheet ready by the first lesson.
